The day we have been planning for has finally arrived.  “Mission Possible”  After a Commissioning Service during the morning worship, we had a wonderful lunch.  There are 40 of us on the trip this year.  We have 18 youth members and 22 adults.  We are traveling in 8 vehicles with 5 trailers loaded with food, bicycles, toys, furniture and houseware.  The first miracle of the trip happened before we even left Lynnville.  One of the youth left their phone on the bumper of a church members car and they had already left.  It was still on their bumper 10 miles away and we were able to pick it up from them.  We left Lynnville around 12:45 pm.  Our first stop was in Henderson to secure some items on a trailer.  The next stop was at the Ft. Campbell exit.  Everyone got out and had a short break.  Somewhere on the interstate between Henderson & the Ft. Campbell a box of dishtowels fell off a trailer.  Don’t worry, they were saved.  We stopped in Cornersville, Tennessee for supper.  The second miracle of the day was that out of 25 of us that ate at McDonald’s, we were only missing one sandwich.

We made it to Hackleburg, Alabama at just a little after 9 pm.  Even though it is dark we can see the evidence of destruction.  I’m sure in the daylight, it will be even more real.  We unhooked the trailers at the church where there will be a night guard.  We finally got to our rooms at about 10:30.  It’s been a long day.  We are all ready to go to bed and get some much needed rest and get to work tomorrow.  Talk to you tomorrow.
