We have often heard that phrase, but did we really understand it? Do we really practice it?
There is a Christian internet dating sight which says this:
"I love you as you are, as you seek to find your own special way to relate to the world, or the way you feel that is right for you. It is important that you are the person you want to be and not someone that I or others think you should be."
That all sounds pleasant to the ears, but is that the unconditional love which the Bible describes? How would we define unconditional love as God refers to it?
God does love us, where we are, the way we are. However, it is important that we accept the fact, even though God loves us unconditional, He desire for us to receive His son as our savior so that we might enjoy abundant life and life eternal. It is important that we become the person He created us to be, not our desire but His.
1 John 4:16 (NLT) We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
May we live in love and live in God! If we do we will measure our love by 1 Cor. 13 definition.
