North Friendship History
North Friendship Church started in the 1920's at a location known as Old Friendship. In 1935 our church was established with 9 members and in 1939 joined the United Association of General Baptist with our present name. Beginning with land donated by Dan and Ethel Siebe and the building of a basement that was our first place of worship, North Friendship General Baptist Church by the Grace of God has grown into one of the most dynamic churches of our denomination.
Our church has gone through many changes, and on Christmas Day of 1991 we held our first worship service in the sanctuary that we have today. The sanctuary seats 275 people and since then, on occasion has been filled beyond capacity. Of all the physical changes that has occurred at NFC one thing remains the same...WE LOVE THE LORD AND MINISTER TO THE NEEDS OF HIS PEOPLE.
Recently more land was donated by the Austin family and in the year 2002 we added a new Family Life Center, a new parking lot, enlarged the children's play area, and have a new area to gather and worship outdoors. Early Step Daycare Ministry was opened in August of 2005 and has been growing ever since." Come and join us
